On March 24th, 2009 Mike Filsaime did a live product launch for Butterfly Marketing 2.0 - When 2,000 + VIP registrants all showed up at once they crashed all of Mike's servers. This is a great peek into what goes on with not only a product launch, but a "LIVE" product launch. Originally, Mike was going to only offer 5,000 copies, but increased it to 15,000 due to the server crashes. There are currently about 2,000 copies left for FREE. You just pay shipping and test out Mike's newsletter. Get your copy here while they are available: Butterfly Marketing 2.0 - Enjoy the videos below and get a glimpse of what goes on during a live product launch.

Mike Filsaime addresses server issues and asks visitors to come back later in the evening. Are you planning a live product launch? What would you do differently? Where you online trying to order your free copy of Butterfly Marketing 2.0 when the servers crashed?

Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing 2.0 Launch Crash

on 24 March 2009  Product Launches  Butterfly, Crash, Internet 2, Internet Web, Live Broadcast, Mike Filsaime, Online Marketing, Post Message, Pre Launch, Product Launch, Screen Shots, Video Clips

As many of you might have been online for Mike Filsaime's Butterfly Marketing  2.0 giveaway today, it has been a disasterous start. Many folks were following the pre-launch  via his site and doing a live broadcast using ustream.tv

During the pre-launch so many folks tried to order early that they crashed the server. I'll be posting some video clips and screen shots later. There is much to be learned through watching this live broadcast and product launch, but the main point to take away is when you are dealing with technology, the Internet, and Web 2.0 anything can happen or go wrong.

Just as I started to post this message Mike Filsaime came on to alert everyone and apologize for taking Twitter down.

Stay tuned for more information on this product launch story.
