If you are looking to get traffic to your website, advertising with Google Adwords is the fastest way to do it. You can set up an account, load it with funds from your credit card and then start getting traffic in as little as 15 minutes. We’ve had our ups and downs with Adwords, but we’ve been profitable.
I’m in the process of getting my referral codes from Google to give potential new advertisers anywhere from a $50-$100 credit for setting up a new Adwords account.

I found this testimonial recently on a site for a lead generation tool. The part I found funny was the fact that most of the folks selling social media marketing services claim you can replace pay per click and other forms of marketing.
This person utilized a $4000 lead generation tool to find potential customers for social media marketing services. If social media is so powerful, why didn’t this person just use social media to find new customers?

In a recent mastermind conference call with Perry Marshall and nearly 300 other participants, feedback was unanimous that savvy marketers use pay per click marketing over social media to generate consistent and measurable business results whether it be new sales, leads, or prospects.
With that being said, I still think social media has a role in marketing that should not be overlooked. The question is how much time do you allocate towards social media vs. other forms of online and offline marketing?
If you have not been following the latest Google Adwords news their is a new Google Affiliate Slap starting to make headlines. I first heard the news from Perry Marshall and most recently from from the folks at Hexatrack.
In short, Google does not like affiliate marketers and is now penalizing sites that link directly to affiliate offers, but do not add any value to the site or offer. Google is being especially hard on review sites that link to affiliate offers.
This will obviously be big news for the next several weeks so stay tuned for more information.
