If you’re advertising on both Yahoo and Bing, you’re aware or should be of the soon coming migration of Yahoo’s pay per click platform over to Bing’s. This article is geared towards advertisers that have thousands of keywords they are attempting to migrate.
I’ve attempted to migrate an account using the Adcenter tab within my Yahoo account. After going through the process several times I receive an error message asking me to try again. (See the image below)
I have not be able to get past this point. The other issue I’m having is that I cannot select the 2nd radio button to just import my data.
My current plan is to just download my Yahoo account, make needed changes and then upload through Adcenter desktop.

I’ve been on several calls with my Microsoft rep and confirmed that probably the easiest way to get conversion done is to move manually with Adcenter Desktop. It is inevitable that there will be migration issues or incompatibilties.
After talking with my Yahoo rep today I was able to make some progress. Yahoo is reporting some validation issues in which the easiest solution is to have them link your Yahoo and Bing accounts on the back-end and then manually move your campaign data over using the Adcenter Desktop tool. Since I’m a Mac user, I had to purchase a Windows 7 laptop just to run Adcenter Desktop. (more on that later)
Another business colleague of mine with nearly a million keywords in his account was able to migrate over to Bing smoothly.
